Kelli Passeri started her musical journey at a young age. Continuing through her school years, Kelli participated in choir, played trumpet in school bands starting in the 5th grade, and into her university days at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Ks., Independence Community College in Independence, Ks. and Coffeyville Community Collge, in Coffeyville, Ks., earning an associate’s of arts degree in music and art.
Kelli fronted the 6th Street Jazz Band in 2013, playing trumpet and singing jazz standards, and was part of the band, “Park Avenue Uprising”, in 2014-2016 by singing, and playing djembe. She played various instruments with the newly-formed soundtribe called, “Amanita”.
She has played numerous music festivals, open mics, and nursing facilities over the years. Kelli has performed for many different events and venues around the local Pittsburg area, such as the Chamber of Commerce Annual banquet, The Knights of Columbus annual valentine’s banquets, and many office parties, anniversaries and weddings. She has peformed for an online platform called, “Secondlife” since 2005 as “Kitty Zeddmore”.
Kelli is the lead vocalist and multi instrumentalist in a band called “Amanita” where she composes, plays instruments such as the trumpet, harp, guitar, djembe, conch shell and sings in chanting styles, such as meditative overtoning and spiritual.
Kelli’s musical vision for the next few years is, continuing opportunities for the Pittsburg music scene, recording albums with “Amanita” in “Stelli Theater”, and producting albums with her husband, Steve Passeri, who’s duo group is called “Stelli”. Her ultimate goal is to simulcast live streaming from her home theater,”Stelli Theater”, a stage and theater built into her home, where local talent will be introduced and featured along with live music sessions from “Amanita”.
Kelli is a certified massage therapist who owns and operates, “Sound and Stone Massage” in her home, as well. She incorporates sound therapy with massage by playing music recorded in specific solfeggio frequencies, and placing a sub-woofer speaker under the massage table so you can feel the vibrations of the music, for the ultimate relaxing and healing session.
Kelli is also an artist that has created various works of art through different media, including; pastels, acrylic, oil paintings, sketches, pottery and wax art.
